Smell (Olfactory Sense)

The olfactory or sense of smell, allows us to detect and recognize different scents in our environment. It plays a vital role in identifying familiar smells, detecting danger, and influencing emotions and memories. Children with olfactory sensitivities or impairments may have difficulty detecting or distinguishing certain smells which impacts their sensory exploration and experience.
